Viewpoint’s Arts Fest 2026 showcases student talent, reunites alumni

Viewpoint School held its Arts Fest on May 30, 2026, bringing together students, families, alumni and community members on the Calabasas campus. The annual event celebrated the school’s TK–12 arts programs with live music, theater and dance, visual art displays, student film screenings and a variety of interactive activities spread across campus. The festival coincided with Viewpoint Alumni Day, and many former students returned to reconnect with classmates, teachers and the arts programs they had been part of.

Performances included the yearly combined concert by the Primary and Lower School choirs together with the Upper School choirs in the Carlson Family Theater, which drew a standing-room-only crowd and featured singers from multiple grade levels. In the Ecolet, the Voices Now student ensemble invited alumni from the earlier group called “Voices Then” to join them onstage for a rendition of “Smile.”

Throughout the day visitors could view artwork from every grade, attend film screenings and filmmaker Q&A sessions, watch live painting demonstrations and take part in hands-on projects. New elements at this year’s festival were a collaborative all-school installation at the Love of Learning Wall, custom button-making and a live mural painting led by Viewpoint Middle School students. Kristin Herkstroeter, chair of the music department and one of the event organizers, described the festival as a celebration of the students’ creativity and hard work.
